We have noted the exchange of views about this recent article of on the HMRC intranet. Suffice to say “who has discussed this with the employer?” Nobody !
The issues clearly recognised by HMRC staff have not been voiced by any representative body or, even dare we say it, recognised by the employer and that must change.
Certainly, the strategic direction as regards the HMRC estate is more of a “driver” than experienced workers … and what to say about the lack of protection for “temporary flexible contract” workers … “appalling” is one of the “politest” comments passed to the RCTU that we can use.
The bottom line here is HMRC staff need a voice – one that responds to them and can represent them. We will do that.
Only YOU can change things. Please join the RCTU and let YOUR voice be heard.
